Contemporary Mayfair

Boundary Space were asked to produce a scheme for a new residence in Mayfair, that incorporated a loft style top floor with roof gardens. We started by researching the classic Mayfair look and this produced an initial palette of stone and black brick. From this we developed a modern articulated facade that, whilst very much a part of the local vernacular, was still a striking modern building. In addition, by raising the height of the facade beyond that of a normal parapet wall, we were able to create a garden storey with open ‘windows’ that provided views of Green Park, whilst maintaining privacy.
